Toyota patented a “square” cross-van

The conceptual electric cross-van X-Van Gear, presented last year at the Japanese auto show, will nevertheless receive a production embodiment. This is evidenced by registered patent images of the new model

The concept was developed by a subsidiary of Toyota Auto Body and is actually a mid-size crossover with a “square” shape. body design reminiscent of a minivan. The model is positioned as an all-terrain vehicle designed for travel for the whole family. The car is also distinguished by the absence of B-pillars and sliding front and rear doors in different directions. Judging by the images, the production version of the X-Van Gear will not differ in appearance from the prototype. Dimensions will be: 4695/1820/1855 mm, with a wheelbase of 2965 mm.

It is expected that the interior will not change much compared to the concept. The front panel is made in the form of a table top, on which the screens of the multimedia system and “tidy” are located. The front passenger seat can be rotated 180 degrees, and an additional table can be made from the rear row seats.
