The American auction house Mecum will put up for auction a unique copy of the 1992 Ferrari F40. It is noted that this specimen is preserved in perfect condition. Bidding will begin early next year

In total, the Italians assembled 213 of these cars for the US market, 22 of which were produced in 1992. According to the description, this example traveled 8,688 miles (approximately 13,981 km), having won the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August 2021. The car is also certified by the Ferrari Classiche program. 

Under the hood is a 2.9 liter turbo V8. The power of this unit is 478 hp. at 7000 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine allows the F40 to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 320 km/h.

Let us recall that the Ferrari F40 was released in 1987 in honor of the company's 40th anniversary , as the name of the supercar suggests. The F40 was the last model to be created during the lifetime of company founder Enzo Ferrari. A total of 1,315 copies were produced worldwide. Now F40s, which are preserved in perfect condition, are valued at $2,000,000.
